A little surprising, because I pretty much had given up any hope of getting any more, but 2 of the last 3 eggs in my incubator hatched within about 3 hours of each other in the middle of the night last night, almost 72 hours after the first egg hatched. So, I now have 7 total live Button Quail chicks. 7/25 = 28% success rate overall on my shipped eggs. 8 actually hatched but one died a few hours after hatching for who knows what reason. This morning, I decided I couldn't take the suspense anymore and carefully punctured the shell on the last egg at the wide end -- it was just a rotten egg, didn't look like it had ever developed at all, or hardly if it had.

Does anyone have any idea of what color(s) the following might be when they grow up?

1) A solid yellow chick with no discernable markings

2) A solid black (well, possibly an extremely dark brown) chick with no markings

3) A dark blackish brown chick with rusty chestnut colored markings

4) A tan chick with rust colored markings

5) A dark grey chick with yellowish markings

Those are the colors I ended up with -- it will be interesting to see what they develop into.

Whatever they are, they are interesting little birds -- fun to watch already.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you all for your replies.

I'm sorry, I find it very difficult to post pictures online. I am on dial up and it is hopelessly slow to upload even a single photo. Further more, I'm not very technologically savy with internet stuff, and my camera takes photos as massive files of several megabytes and I never figured out how to make them into small .jpeg or similar files of a a hundred or so kilobytes suitable for uploading.
