5 day old chick stopped eating or drinking. She is very weak now.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Job gets in the way of my chickens. Don’t have pictures. She is a bantam polish on the small side. Her hatch mates are doing well. I put an older chick with them so they mimic eating and drinking. I’ve tried sugar water, save a chick, mash with yogurt and water, plain water, plain crumbles, apple saucer, eggs. Nothing interests her. Tried forced with dropper. Today she is much weaker. I’m trying to make her comfortable now. She is so darn cute.

Well, I just don't know what to tell you. I'm so sorry. It seems to me there is always a reason why they stop eating and drinking and that's what you want to find out. So, details about behavior, photos and videos help with all that.

So sorry for your loss. I guess it's possible, but the more likely cause would be failure to thrive or a yolk sack problem.

She had grit available, but I didn’t make a point to try to get her to eat any.
