I know they have different combs but at this age, they don't have combs to speak of. Is there a way to look at the beak where the comb will be and tell which kind of comb will develop? I have 5 of each and it's a mystery at the moment to me as to which one are the cochins and which are the brahmas. I know in time I'll tell but curiosity is getting the better of me! Any other things to look for? They're super cute no matter what they are!

The Brahma's comb will be almost flat. You should be able to see little teeny tiny spikes on the cochins. Plus, the colors should be a clue, too. Go to Feathersite.com and check out the different chick pics.

Cochins have feathering completely around the leg. The brahma chicks will only have feathering on the outside of the leg.
