I know I don't post very often. But only chicken lovers understand how I feel right now.

    3 dead, 2 missing,1 saved!

Very glad hubby checks them nightly. The small coop door didn't get closed and right after sunset something attacked.

I don't have a clue what it was. All chickens found were in tact and no obvious trauma. Just feathers everywhere and dead bodies and 2 missing.
I hate knowing they were terrified and attacked.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. It always stinks when something like this happens. [IMG]

    So sorry for your loss!

So there are no wounds whatsoever on the birds that were dead in the coop?

My advice is to use one of the bodies for bait in a trap. I know it sounds kinda gross and wrong but you know thats the one thing that this predator definitely wants. Every time we have had a predator attack this has worked. (Well except with the bears who did not fit in the trap of course :) )

Sounds kinda like a mink to me. You might want to look closely for puncture wounds near the head and neck.

    Again so sorry!
