Let me first say I am not complaining. I have 2 RIR (both 3 years old) and 2 Light Brahmas (both 1 yr old) . Since March we have been getting 3 or 4 eggs per day from the 4 hens. For the past 3 days in a row we have gotten 5 eggs per day. Never has this happened before. I checked with the wife just to make sure she wasn't playing a joke on me. No new food or change in the coop. No lights either. Has this happened to any others? Does it mean anything or am I just lucky.
