When can I expect my hens to start laying again?

I just got an egg today! This is way earlier than I expected to get any, so this was a big surprise for me! I'm not sure whether this was my Easter Egger(3y) or my Olive Egger(10m). Needless to say, the hens get to free range today after this! Now, I probably can't expect her to be laying reliably yet, right? I think the days are probably still too short for that where I am (North Idaho).

How exciting! They may continue, you never know!

We do not use any artificial light but prefer the natural order of things. Our Orps have been laying all winter but are not as old as yours so they may be slowing down due to age and less light but should pick it back up soon.
Your pullets should pick up production in Spring which for the PNW may be a little later....?
Except that long nights are not natural for them, that's why they quit laying when the days are too short. With artificial light providing them the Equatorial light conditions where chickens originated, they'll lay year round like they would if they lived there. Taking breaks for their molting, of course, but not because they are light deprived. Mine actually seemed more peaceful after I started supplemental lighting. It's like they are happier.

My Sapphire gem jumped into the nesting box today, while I was cleaning the run. I happened to peek in the window just as she did. She wasn't in there long and she didn't lay an egg, but I was so excited that she even wanted to look in there. I haven't had a fresh egg in months.
