5 lav and lav-split silkies going to lockdown - what are my chances?

I've heard these are harder to hatch (lav silkie). Anything special I should do at this point? I have no problem helping them out if need be. I am hoping they don't die before they pip though. I had 6 developing as of a few days ago, but one quit. I opened it and it was a lav-split (black feathers). These eggs are from fowlrus (neilcreeksidefarm on ebay), but I was able to pick the eggs up since they are only 1.5 hrs from here. It was 2 lav roosters from Bren, over 5 lav hens, 2 black hens, and 3 lav-split hens. That mix should give 65% pure lavender babies. I'll update here when/if there is some news. The hatch date is the 15th - Tuesday.

Update: One baby hatched - a lavender!!!!

my first lavender!! It is cheeping away in the incubator, looking great!

There are no other pips yet - but even if I just get this one baby, I'm happy anyway! I feel so lucky!! Now I'm just sitting waiting for any more pips.

it's probably been 5 minutes - time to go check again!

I think my first chick will be a lavender Cochin Bantam ! I will post a pic when mine hatches - would be great to see your little one

I would love to get a lavender cochin bantam too! I was thinking of ordering some pet-quality from a hatchery, because I tried lavender cochin eggs and didn't get any to hatch last year. I think the eggs were pretty old though by the time I got them through the post office, so that's probably why none hatched.

A 2nd baby is zipping around! Can't wait to see if it's lav or split!

2nd baby is out!!! I can't tell for sure if it's lavender, since it's wet, but I'll update as soon as I can tell for sure. And another egg has a pip!
