any guesses? they keep changing on me and I can't figure it out anymore! there are 3 black 1 blue, 1 splash

Five months old-If you're still guessing then I bet they are all hens. Anyone crow? Apparently not. I have two young silkie roosters under three months of age and there's no guessing; of the three silkies I let my hens raise two are roosters and one is a hen.

No one has crowed but there is a feisty one (one of the black) that will peck at me when I try and pick him up and sometimes confronts me when I go near them...I just noticed he has a comb starting and the others don't. They seem much more docile than him. Would be great if the rest were hens!

I see no black silkies that look like roosters; could you post a picture of that bird alone-a side view? Hens can be feisty and confrontational too at times

This is the one I think may be a male. Ill try and get better pics tomorrow. They stick to each other like glue and as soon as I separate one they run back together.

This picture is taken from the internet-4 month old black silkie rooster. At 5 months your hens will be laying soon and that might account for the bigger comb. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures tomorrow. My last silkie pullets started to lay eggs between 5 and 6 months of age.
