5 more days and My Miss Big should be hatching some unknown breeds! I have a question though. should i trust she will protect them from the rest of the flock or shall I separate? ErinM:yiipchick

She should be able keep them safe...just watch for a few days to make sure...I've only let momma hen have chicks twice to care for in the henhouse and both times they did ok..but I have big standards and have never had a problem with them being mean to the chicks....first sign of anything nasty brood them away from the flock if you can with or without her...
