I came home with 2 black stars, 2 auraucanas and 1 buff orpington (the last they had). I had to restrain myself from coming home with 3 black stars and 3 auraucanas, or running back for more. I keep saying there is always next year. ...

I'll try for pictures later. Now I have to get back to work.

My ten 5-6 week olds (3 red stars, 7 RIR) have been out in the yard most of the day. My yard has lots of big bushes and overgrowth, and I keep an eye out for hawks. It unnerves me leaving them free ranging, but they love it so. I try to keep them in, in the morning, when the hawks are out and let them range in the afternoon. (I could use some moral support from other free rangers, because I feel like a very delinquent chick parent doing it)
