5 Toes

No bird has more than four toes except chickens of the Dorking, Faverolle, Houdan, Sultan, and Non-bearded Silkie Bantams, all of which have five toes.

I also have heard from a friend of mine that anything crossed with a Dorking, the resulting offspring will have 5 toes. So I am 'guessing' it is a dominant trait.

Gah, I forgot faverolles, we have them. Hooligan, in your quote it says non bearded silkies, well all silkies have 5 toes.
When any 5 toed bird crossed to any other, the 5 toes tend to be dominant.
