5-Week Barred Rock Pullet or Roo?

We just started raising chicks, and I'm beginning to suspect one of our mail order hens is a cockerel. Out of our two Barred Rock chicks, this one has always been louder, and its comb is significantly redder than the other Barred Rock's. It does have a dark wash on its legs, though. Does it look like a roo to you?

Definitely cockerel. Way too much comb for that age.

The pullet will be darker and the roo will appear lighter, that's from a distance. The black bars are larger on pullets, if that makes any sense.

I hate to be THAT one... But I think both of your BR are cockerels. They both have significantly large combs for the age.

Agreed with the above comment; both of those barred rocks are cockerels. Sometimes birds of the same age and gender can develop at slightly different speeds, hence why one's comb is a tiny bit bigger than the other's.
