Sexing 4 Barred Hollands, 8 weeks old

Hatchery: Sandhill Preservation

Born: May 12 (roughly 8 weeks old)


Probably similar to Barred Rocks. I have looked up differences and according to @CascadiaRiver

"Hollands have 6 comb points and Plymouths have 5 comb points

Plymouth Rocks are assumed are mixes of dominique X cochins/java while (barred) Hollands are mixes of white leghorns, barred plymouths, austrolorps and brown leghorns."

So maybe there is a difference with sexing them.

I feel like it is either 1,2, and 3 are pullets and 4th is the cockerel because of the extra redness of comb and wattles, or 1, 2, and 4 are cockerels and #3 is the sole pullet.

The third guess is that strangely, #4 is the sole pullet because it is darkest but that is weird because next to no wattles on #3 in comparison.
