I have a jersey giant chick a little over 5 weeks old. Everything seemed fine until I transferred her to the larger coop area. Never noticed this while she was in the brooder. I’m in a very warm climate so only need heat for the evenings at this time. All other chicks are doing fine but one will Stand there and just shake and shiver. She seems to be eating and drinking fine and can run away and squawk when I grab her like all the others. Doesn’t seem to stumble or have balance issues. I’ve checked her over for any injuries and don’t see any. Should I be concerned? I’m new with chickens and have no idea what this could be. Thanks so much for any help.

What is the brooder or coop temperature? What type of heat source were you using? Does the chick have most of it’s feathers in? Does she huddle with others? What are her poops like?

We have a heat lamp set up on temp control device so it stays around 75-80. Feathers look normal and seem to be coming in fine like all the other chicks. She doesn’t seem to be cuddling with other chicks overly much, just when they sleep. Other than shaking/shivering she seems fine. Almost like an older human that shakes with age and seems a little unstable. No paralysis or anything. I’m wondering if I should separate her from the others but don’t want to harm her by pulling from the flock if possible. I haven’t been able to catch her pooping yet to see hers specially.
