5 week old Ancona pullet - correct?

I want to make sure that this is a for sure Ancona pullet. She’s (I think) 5 weeks and 2 days old (picked her up from the post office on May 1st.

She is very outgoing and every time I go into the garden/brooder cabin she just has to jump on my shoulder and start preening my hair. She’ll stay on my shoulder for up to 10 minutes. The other two chicks I have are somewhat skittish (particularly the Easter Egger - the Golden Campine will let me touch her sometimes but mostly she runs away from my hand like the EE does).

Anconas are like leghorns and even females develop combs quickly. I want positive mine was female until she laid an egg lol. Was she purchased sexed or straight run?

Purchased as a pullet with 90% probability. The comb size and the brave personality def threw me off at first.

I'd say pullet, but 5 weeks is a little young still.

I would say pullet at the moment, but maybe post more pics in a couple of weeks

Most likely a pullet - cockerels tend to have earlier comb development.

I’d say pullet. Roos usually get real pinky red combs at younger ages. At least the ones I’ve worked with have.
