My five week old barnevelder sexed pullet is getting some pinkish in her wattle area 😳. Anyone know if this is common for the breed or if this is an indication I have a little roo.

When they grow up, the males and females have different color patterns. Right now, that chick looks like the female color pattern--but I don't know whether the baby males would also look that way at first, or would get their own pattern from the very beginning.

From the comb and wattles, I think it could still go either way.

You could try to vent sex specifically because he/she is old enough to safely vent sex. usually start vent sexing once they turn 4 weeks because its safer.
Vent sexing can only be done safely on day 1 of life and even then depending on size and experience of the person, it can be very dangerous for the bird.
