5 week old blue laced red wyandottes

I’m new to the Wyandotte breed. Is it normal that the second is taking longer to feather out? These 2 are 5 weeks old.
Picture 1-3 is chick #1
Picture 4-5 is chick #2

Any guesses on gender? Could chick #2 be black laced not blue?

They grow at their own rate. If the 2nd one is eating and active, I wouldn't worry. It is black laced rather than blue laced. Too early to determine gender.

Did #2 chick end up being BLRW? It looks just like mine but I am worried it is not a blue laced red like we ordered.

Ended up being a black laced red. Pretty confident that she’s a girl but still not 100%. She’s 9 weeks now

I suppose if you order again go to cackle hatchery they sell blues separate from splash and blacks
