5 week old chick , mass ? tumor? Been waiting 3 hrs,can't anybody help

That's too high - 24% is a gamebird starter. Switch to 20% or less (not layer feed) and maybe that will help. The higher the protein, the fatter they get. I wouldn't lance it or do anything unless it seems to be a problem. If she's doing ok, maybe with a reduced protein diet it will go away or at least shrink.

Bag says for chickens and ducks but i'll switch to the starter grower which is 20 % and watch her and see how she acts and if it gets bigger or she stops eating and drinking or being active before i freak out and try to see if it needs to be lanced. Had no problem with the same starter for 17 babes we had previously but ya never know. Thanks all . If i get desperate , maybe i'll drive to Carole 's

That is quite unusual. Did you say the tumor is hard feeling? Does it feel attached to the bird, or does it move around separate from the muscle underneath if you move it?

Were these chicks vaccinated for Marek's?

Honestly in a lesion that size, I'd really consider a trip to the vet. But maybe we can help.
