I've had a lot of questions lately, I feel like I've posted all over these boards, lol.
I had six chicks, three 5 week olds, and three 2 weeks old. Within the last 36 hours I've lost 4 of them to Cocci
Now the older chick seems to be mothering the littler one. The little one always stays close, and ducks under the older one's wing. When the little one falls asleep, the older one will attempt to sit on it to keep it warm. Is this normal behavior, or is it because they've lost the rest of their flock? I suspect the older one is a hen, but I'm not 100%.
