5 week old EE gender?

My daughter picked up 4 five week old EEs from a poultry house. I am thinking one is a boy. What do you think?

Yes, I would need a picture of both the comb, and a side view of the full body.

A typical trait of a male EE is reddish/rust color appearing on the shoulders. They will also have an uneven color pattern in general. It's hard to tell with your kid holding it.

At this point I think it is a pullet. Not enough comb height and color to say it is a male. But watch the comb for a growth spurt in the next few weeks, which would indicate a cockerel.

We see it, its just not helpful.
We need a different picture, one that let's us see more of the bird from the side.
