 I am kind of secretly hoping for a roo. I have been calling it Newt.haha We have one 7 month Ameraucana male that we are getting rid of due to aggression with our kids and the Campines are handsome dudes.

:lau Oh my. You know, it's always nice when you can have a rooster. But to me, when ever people say they are hoping for a rooster, it just sounds funny, because it seems like I am ALWAYS trying to get RID of roosters! It's because i like bantams, but they come in straight run, so there are always tons of Roos! But Im glad you are wanting one, and, this is weird to say, I hope it turns out to be one!!

Lol it's pretty funny for me to say, because I didn't want a rooster at ALL -- the Ameraucana was accidental but we decided to give him a shot. We have 4 acres so having boys is ok. One of the Easter Eggers Meyers sent (same hatch day as the Campines) IS a roo, but I don't want another EE male at this time, especially since we are still homing Tonks the Rapist. So I'm definitely being picky. Know anyone who wants an Easter Egger roo? 5 weeks? :lau

I have roosters all over Craigslist, it seems. I haven't been having very much luck though. I did have this one text and call from some Mexican guy you can barely understand. We were worried about him feeding it to a snake or something, because we said, 'do you want them for eggs or meat? They are very tiny. He replied, 'I know they are tiny. I need that.' I'm like, ummmm, he didn't answer the question exactly, and it's a bit suspicious. So we didn't reply to him. I don't want my chickens given to snakes, or anything.

Couple updated pictures at *almost* seven weeks old.
