Hello! I am wondering if my 5 week old Jersey is a cockerel or pullet? I don't have any of its siblings to compare it to, so it's making it more difficult! Please help!

That red at 5 weeks I'm voting cockerel, but since I don't have that breed I suggest waiting for others to weigh in.

I have a Blue Jersey Giant that isn't wasn't that red at 8 weeks, but I'm still side eyeing it at 10 weeks since it's had red wattles since 6 weeks old, lol.

I am new to the breed, but I heard they develop slowly, so it can be a gamble until they start crowing
