5 week old orphan pigeon?

It still has very stubby feathers tho. And its crop is full from its mother today. But after a flight she never came back. The dad came up missing to. I think its a hawk. I will add pictures.

Its about a inch littler that a normal sized bird.

That baby is not 5 weeks old.If you have chickens and feed them flock raiser or something similar, you can soak it in water to make a paste and feed it that through a syringe, but you will have to cut the tip off the syringe.

I have chick starter and scratch grain. I also have baby animal milk. Could I use that with some water and add the starter?

I would just use the chick starter mixed with water,be prepared it is going to make a mess. And only feed it when the crop is empty from the last feeding.

Well this little suckers crop is HUGE from his mom. Its a shame something happened to her. Hopefully i'll find her in the morning. But thanks a lot. I really needed this information.

When I used chicken food and water i noticed the pigeon was smaller. It is a good idea to warm it up in the microwave this way it can't expand in the stomach or crop. When it gets older put a few small seeds in for it.

Well guess what!? The mom is alive! We had a very bad storm yesterday and i'd say she tried to stay dry and keep out of it. I think thats why she was gone. But now shes back. Thank goodness! Thanks anyway guys!
