Anyone want to help me with some chicks? Just some educated guesses would be good, not expecting to be 100% certain, of course.
They were hatched on June 30th, and I took these pics on August 4th, so exactly 5 weeks. They are supposed to be Jubilee Orpingtons, but the woman who gave them to us also had other chickens, and I’m pretty sure she was keeping the ones she thought would hatch into nice birds. Fine by us, we just wanted to experience hatching and add some babies.
We had chicks before, but mostly from Pullet bins and a couple that just ended up being girls anyway. So, we’re trying to find the roos, like everyone else. We’re ok with keeping one, but we’ll see. Sometimes I look at them and think they are all cockerels. It’s like my eyes are tricking me, so I need some help.
I had to hold them to get good pics. Sorry about the hand!
