I got 6 chicks about 5 weeks ago and I’m wondering how soon with Production Reds you can tell gender?? I got two of them and one barely has a comb and the other one has a pretty big one and is a bully. but from what I’ve researched the male and females can look very similar and both have larger combs

Yep! You've got an early blooming cockerel. He has three indicative signs: for 5 weeks old he has a large comb + large wattles + the comb & wattles are a bright red.
In pullets the comb & wattles won't turn a vibrant red until they are close to POL (point of laying).
