5 week old runt chick with pasty butt?

Ok I don’t have any of that but I’ll get some tomorrow, I am in Australia
We got sold a bag of “shell grit’ that was for chickens, what is the difference?

How worried about this should I be exactly
For me, I'd be concerned.

Hard to tell, it does look like there's something stuck. Poop likely, but so hard to tell.

You mentioned skin lumps - does it look like there's 2 openings inside the vent? Similar to the photo below, but not as exaggerated or pronounced or is it 2 separate pieces of poop?

See those 2 distinct "openings"?

Thought you might not be in the U.S.
You want "insoluble" grit to help with digestion/processing of foods. Likely it's Granite or Flint where you are.

You do want "shell grit" or "soluble" grit for your birds when they come into lay. This may be oyster shell or limestone - the shell grit is a source of Calcium.

Definitely not two vents like that
I can’t tell if it’s skin or poop but I think it may be poop, however the chick is still pooping normally
Still able to poop normally?
Formed poops?

If so, then I'd give a good soaking, then apply an oil to the vent. If you think that is poop, the oil may help loosen it up so it will come out.

Better pic
Oh, I see now, thank you for the photo.

Yes, the tissue is swollen, it's almost prolapsing. I'd give soaks or apply warm compresses of Epsom salts bath.
Gently dry, then apply an anti-inflammatory cream if you have it. If not, you could use honey, coconut oil, mineral oil or even a hemorrhoid cream/ointment if you have that.

Once swelling is down, that tissue should go back in on its own.

Make sure she/he is drinking well. Wet mushy feed may be helpful.
Could be this started out as constipation, hopefully this will resolve fairly quickly with no issues in the future.
