Hi, this is my first time raising chickens and would like advice on whether our four 5-week olds may be female or male. We have a Cuckoo Marans, an Olive Egger (Copper Marans x Amerucana), an Amerucana, and a Buff Orpington. We have also been weighing them every few days and although they all have the same hatch date, our Buff is only 276 grams vs our Cuckoo Marans being almost double. They’re all extremely active and eat well. Is this something you have encountered with the extreme weight differences?View attachment 2126668

The Ameraucana is actually an Easter Egger, and the olive egger is not a black copper Marans x Ameraucana. It may be a BCM crossed with an EE, but it has some cuckoo or barring, so I’m thinking it was crossed with the cuckoo Marans? The buff orp is so tiny and cute - don’t worry, she’ll catch up with the rest! Beautiful birds 🥰

The olive egger is probably copper maran hen x cream legbar rooster, which would explain the barring and the small crest.
