Is it possible the first 2 pics of the silvery big "chick" is a female. It is quite well grown and rather independent minded ( usually the last to go in to bed with mum in the coop) but it has no wattle or redness in the comb.i thought it a Welsummer x. The second two pics are of another more golden chick I hope is a female, too with no wattle or redness in the comb. Both are flighty compared to the Maran crosses whose gender seems already very obvious already. Any thoughts?
Plus, different breeds will be different sizes, and so will individual chicks.
