5 weeks too soon?

Is it okay to put 6 5 week old chicks in with 10 hens? I've heard that it's okay if there is a small box of some sort for them to run for cover.

I dont' think i would put them out yet unless I had something to seperate them from the hens. Idk how well a box to run and hide in would work.
