So I have a 5 week old Satan that’s started to go crossbeak, but it’s like her jaw or bottom beak is sliding out of place… it’s very slight but this happened in the course of 4 days.
I notice when she pecks at the ground, if she strikes it just right she started having extreme head tilts. Sort of like tics. I’m worried it’s a Neuro issue. She’s been doing that for a while. Her depth perception is bloody awful too.

Can I prevent this from getting any worse??

How's your little one doing? I just got a little Salmon Favorelles who's almost two weeks and starting to show a crossed beak, I'm trying to figure out what her chances are.

Hello! Wish your little chicky best of wishes!!

The crossed beak got worse, it’s like the whole bottom plate is completely shifted, so trimming back wasn’t going to help him any.

However, he is eating and thriving with the rest! The only plus to this is that when he goes to peck me or the other chicks, the peck is a lot lighter 😅

I think he will be just fine as long as there’s a deep dish to eat from. I’m sure your chick will do well too!!!

I'm so glad to hear that your guy is doing well! She's certainly a sweetheart, I don't want them to suffer.
