5 wk old constantly sitting

Hi everyone,

looking for help with a 5 wk old chick that has been under its mum with 2 others. It's hot atm in Australia.
last week or so, she's weak and sitting almost constantly. still gets up eats and drinks on own.
got a fecal float done and NO cocci. treating with vits in cooked egg yolk last 3 days. no improv yet. any other ideas? hoping she pulls through.

May be suffering from dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Have you tried giving sugar water with a pinch of salt and baking soda? If not, try that.

no I'll give that a go. she seems to be improving a bit with the vits but it is pretty hot here still. thanks
