View attachment 1064423 View attachment 1064422 View attachment 1064419 This is my first time raising chicks (such a joy!) and while I have no experience, I'm beginning to wonder if my little black and white frizzle "pullet" is blossoming into a cockerel before my eyes...
(S)he is one of the most assertive of my six and the only one so far that has pecked me defensively. I also noticed her creeping on one of my little silkies that was "dust bathing" in the shavings like she might be curious about mounting her. I know they're too young for that but am wondering if they start play acting these types of things early or if it's even gender-related
The comb is quite a bit pinker than the other frizzle's, hopefully the photos show that clearly enough. Anyone able to help me with a guess? Really hoping she's just a pretty pink-combed pullet
