Thanks all for the great comments. All is well this morning. The grow gel (green goo), was really great. They ate it all except a very little bit that I cleaned out this morning. I had never used it before but glad that I bought it this time. Putting it on top of their food trays really helped them to find the starter too. The directions said baby chicks are attracted by bright colors and they definitely were attracted to the neon green. I really love the NN's. They are so adorable.
And the blue cochins are big ole puff balls of a pale greyish blue. Toooooo cute.!!!! I really love em all. And Doopy, too cute on the pic addition..
After looking at the new pics, can someone tell me if I'm wrong about the pale colored fluff ball. I don't know whether I'm correct in saying its a blue cochin or not. The only other cochins I got were the buff and they are the color of the buff orps. And the 6th one down in the new update pics. Is that a dark brahma?? It is my free chick and in the mcmurray catalog its the only one I could find that looks like it.
Thanks,
Tammy
Based on my massive three days worth of chicken experience, the one you are calling a dark brahma looks just like my Silver Laced Wyandottes! I have my hands full with 16 - can't imagine 50+....
