maybe if you could teach him how to 'play nice' with your flock both parties would be happier? This way he learns to respect the animal, that it is not a 'toy' and that it is a living creature, and then the birds realize to relax a little around the hyper activity?
Most of us here treat our birds like a family member. they are living breathing creatures to us. To some of us they are just meat and eggs and it doenst matter. Both sides are correct in their place. Just make sure your son knows the difference! No animal should be terrorized, tortured, or chased out of its will. The girls were not enjoying it.
No one is trying to drive you off this site, you just need to see where we are coming from and what we are about before you post.
Maybe change the thread title to "Son chasing my pulletts" So that those who would be offended would not have to watch it. This way no one would end up with hurt feelings.
If anyone came into my yard after my chickens running or chasing them, i would stop them and try to educate them about chickens and that they do not enjoy that. try to TEACH them how to interact with them so that both parties are content and happy with each other. Just my opinion.
And yes, I have kicked a few out of my yard with a swift boot for just that.
