(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens about 3 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 roosters and 17 hens
(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orphingtons, Plymouth Rocks, Wellsummers, Silver and Blue Laced Wyandotts, and Marons.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
My neighbor told me about your site when she ordered some Wellsummers and Wyandotts and asked if I wanted any.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
old cars, gun collecting, reading, camping, riding dirt bikes. (no, Im not a girly girl)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have the most wonderful husband in the world who built me an awesome chicken coop. I have 4 dogs - 2 St Bernards and 2 mutt-shepherds. I have the fattest cat in the county...19 lbs. And of course, my 19 chickens. We live on 2 1/4 acres of land in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. I am a country girl at heart who was stolen away from Kansas at infancy and forced to grow up in, and now cant seem to be able to leave - this God-forsaken state.
I believe Heaven will have the weather of the West Coast, and the life style and beauty of the mid-west.
