56 egg incubator brand new not working :(

I got this incubator off Amazon to try and hatch some eggs from my chickens. I spent hours trying to get to work but never had luck. Everything works great except one of the most important things.... the humidity. It comes up to around 36 but won't go far past that even with a full water tray. I set up everything correctly. I did look up this incubator and somebody had a issue I guess with the lid not fitting correctly? Anybody else had issues with this incubator and got it fixed?

Ah, the infamous "Amazon yellow 'bator", the sensors in this machine are known to be incredibly unreliable. You're going to have to calibrate it to see how far it's of or purchase a separate hygrometer/thermometer and calibrate that. It also helps to set it in a box with towels to add insulation but make sure to leave openings for oxygen.
