I have a 5wk old olive egger who we noticed was limping a couple days ago. There's no visible sign of injury but she clearly doesn't want to put any weight on her right leg.

When I posted this on an FB group someone suggested slipped tendon but this doesn't seem to be the case; I pulled her leg back gently and couldn't feel or see anything out of place.

She's otherwise eating and drinking as per normal, nothing seems wrong with her poop, she's still moving around and perching and whatnot. Only symptom is the limp and her reluctance on put weight on that leg.

Her leg might be dislocated or bruised somewhere. I had a chick like this, roughly the same age, a few years ago. What had happened to her was that her foot was stepped on, and when she tried to pull away, her leg popped out of the joint.
I would feel her leg joints to make sure. Hope this helps!

How is the chick now? I have a 6 week chick also with a limp and I don’t think it’s a tendon either.
pS did this she turn out to be a he?

This was several years ago, and Limpy (her name) is no longer with us, sadly. She might have been a cockerel, but this was several years ago and I frankly can't remember. She didn't live long enough to fully recover; a fox got her. She thought I was her flock member and followed me around like a little duckling. She flew over the fence to hang around with me all the time, and, sadly, that's when she was snatched.
