6 1/2 month old chickens still not laying.

So, today my leghorn almost went broody. She hopped into the nest like she always does, but as I reached under her to check for eggs, she hissed at me.
Then, about an hour later, she off again, singing an egg song, but no egg!

So, today my leghorn almost went broody. She hopped into the nest like she always does, but as I reached under her to check for eggs, she hissed at me.
Then, about an hour later, she off again, singing an egg song, but no egg!

That isn't broody, that is just not wanting to be bothered on the nest, some days they are more touchy that than others. She may return and lay later or not lay at all today.

Don't feel bad I have spring hens and out of all of them the only one laying right now is my red sex link my 2 WRs and 2 BOs arent laying yet and they are all 23 weeks the WRs look to be closer to laying than the other BOs but thats all it is at this point is a waiting game
