Presale - Eggs will ship no later than March 15th 2010. If for any reason they can't be shipped by that date I will refund all money paid. This is a paypal auction only, I will only ship to CONUS.

Up for your consideration are 6 of my American Game Bantam eggs. You will receive eggs from any or all of my Golden Duckwing, BB Red, and Wheaten brood pens. The eggs will be marked with the breed but I can't guarantee how many of each breed you will receive, I'll ship what the girls lay. The BB Red brood cock in the photo weighs in at 2 pounds 1 ounce, the Golden Duckwing and Wheaten cocks are a little larger at almost 3 pounds. All of my BB Red and Golden Duckwing breeders are blue legged, my Wheaten cock carries the blue leg gene, he has two wheaten hens, one is true for blue legs the other is not so chicks could come blue or pearl legged.

These hatching eggs and the resulting birds are sold for legal breeding & showing purposes only. I can't guarantee your hatch rate due to shipping and incubation factors that are out of my control & therefore must ask that you please leave feedback based only on how you received your eggs. Eggs will be bubble wrapped and boxed for safe shipping. To better insure hatching I will not clean the eggs and suggest that you don't either. Just allow them to set, pointed end down, for 10 to 24 hours after they arrive, then put them in your incubator. If you have any questions please ask.

To see more photos of these birds please visit my American Game Bantam page here on BYC from my signature line below.

I checked out your page and enjoyed seeing your pens. Im one of those anti-draft people and you have me thinking. How cold does it get in OK? Do you do anything else to the pens to prepare for Winter?

Hi,

On the 4x4x8 brood pen I use 3/8th plywood to cover the top and the non-door side of the run. Other than that I just make sure that there is straw in the pen so that they are not walking in mud all the time and that's it. So far this year we have had 15 inches of snow, night temps have gotten down to 9 degrees F, wind chills in Oklahoma ... well... this is where the wind comes sweeping down the plains so you can imagine what the wind chills have been like. No worries, all my chickens are just fine.

Beautiful birds.Got a couple of questions. Are the birds straight or peacombed. Are the hatches green legged? Thanks Rodney

Hi,

All are straight combed.

No, the hatch are not green legged, the standard for American Game Bantams called for blue legs on BB Reds, mine are blue legged.
