One silver/grey, 2 blonde - not yellow, 3 black or maybe soot colored. That is 6 out of 20 eggs and I still have 3 in the shells trying to zip out. One has a big enough hole that I can see it is light colored.

None of the other eggs have pipped and I still have hope for a few more of them to come around.

Ok, I have read where I should wait 24 to 48 hours to take the babies out of the incubator but the little silver one is pecking on the others. I think it is hungry. I have 2 that are newly hatched and still wet. Should I take the 3 that are dry out and put them in a brooder with food and water?

The chicks are fine in there, they can go up to 72 hours without food or water because they have absorbed the yolk sac. You don't want to mess with the humidity and temperature now. The chick is probably just interested in the other ones, he is too small to cause any damage, don't worry.;)

Oo, too late, I took 8 of them out and put them in a brooder. I have one still in the shell and the others aren't moving, or not moving yet. He might be too little to cause damage but the other babies were hollering about it. Bossy little stinker must be a roo or an alpha hen. LOL Thanks, Sylvia
