I had one of yours hatch yesterday. It was the fastest zip and hatch I have ever had. On day 18 I had movement in 5 of my 6 (one had a broken yolk- no development), so I am hoping to come home to more babies this morning. If I get a chance I will post a pic of my pretty baby. It has feathered shanks.

whats a feather shank? Sorry for my ignorance, but I see all the fuss with these eggs, but have never dared buy any eggs. Its such a gamble with shipped eggs, that I would cry if I spent $10/egg and didn't get but one to hatch....pretty birds.

Here is a pic of the eggs I received from Dan today. Two were broken but not his fault. The box had gotton wet, and its a miracle it got to me at all since the label was almost washed out. I'll set these on Friday. I am very pleased with them. Thanks Dan...can't wait to see what hatches

Sorry to hear about the damage.

You should make a claim at the PO. They have $100 insurance included. I have heard mixed results with claims on eggs, but in my experience if you can show damage to the box, they will refund. It's worth a try!

only 2 were broken so it isn't worth my time to go down there and file a claim. I just hope these other 6 do well.
