I'm looking for B/B/S silkie eggs. Your birds look like nice quality. Can I ask where you got your stock from?

I bought eggs that were supposed to be B/B/S from another BYC member this spring, and it turned out she had other colors mixed in her blue flock. I ended up with a black, 3 whites, 3 partridge and a buff. I want to make sure that I'll only get B/B/S eggs this time. I am trying to sell beautiful silkies in colors that I don't want now...

The only problem is, I can't buy any eggs for at least a week, because I'm going to have to travel to a funeral. I don't know when it will be yet, though, and I don't want eggs left at my post office while I'm out of town.

Is there any way you'll have more eggs for sale next week? Are they still laying? None broody yet, I hope...

Hi,

None of my stock is from a hatchery. All my stock came from eggs I bought and hatched myself or as for my Blues/blacks/splashes came from a local breeder. He had been raising them for about 10-12 years. Hand been sending them all over the states. His wife wanted ducks and he wanted to concentrate on his buffs (that is the only two colors he had). We were at his place for pheasants (OH raises pheasants) he mentioned wanting to get out of B/B/S and get his wife some ducks. I had ducks and wanted to broaden my breeding program with silkies. I mentioned I would trade him. I loved my ducks but had no pond and the silkies were getting so dirty running through the mud the ducks had created. He had a pond and a nice set up for ducks as he had mandrin ducks. So we struck a deal. I got 65-70 black/blue silkies ranging from a day old to 4 months old. After they got older I ended up with 35 roos.. so found them homes. I kept one roo from his breeding and I already had a black and blue roo from another breeder in Md that wanted ducks to sit on her peacock eggs. she said she like them better than chicken sitting on them. So I traded her for the two roos and 3 hens. The roos you see in the pic on this post are the roos she traded me.. but they were only 2 months old when I got them. I also got a white roo from her. Here is her website.. she got all of her birds from show breeders.

I have gotten eggs and hatched from these breeders

also from Steve Wheat (got a few batches of eggs from him and hope to get more)

So you will see the quality of their stock mine are from.

I know all about getting eggs that are not what they say. The chick pictured that are on this post are from my hens and a customer got and hatched.

All my birds are housed by color..except my juvenile pen that is not old enough to lay.

I can send you eggs next week just let me know a couple day before you want them shipped. If you would like to paypal in advance that way I have record (getting old.. hahaha) of eggs that need to be sent so I can plan when I collect who gets what. Its easier that way .. if not then paypal when you are ready.

thanks
