With shipping their is always a risk, but shipping is the best way to get stock you can't get locally. Not everyone has the breeds you want to work with within a reasonable distance. I say go for it, since all the eggs I've hatched except a few local bought turkey eggs have been shipped. I haven't had bad hatch rates at all. Depends on how much the post office punts them around.
