only 3 of the eight eggs ended up hatching, but that's alright by me. the 2 eggs that haven't hatched i assume will not hatch at all. not sure what happened to them, but, they haven't even pipped.

however, the 3 that did are now 6 days old, and they're all so sweet! to me, at least. they really like to poke at each other.

only one has a name- the first one that hatched, a blueish baby, is named Mori! the other two haven't gotten a name yet. i think i'm just gonna wait until they're old enough to where i can kind of guess what gender they are.

they all have quite a personality though!

Mori, who hatched first, is very much already the boss. they like to peck their siblings, and hop/leap around the brooder, usually whenever i go to replace the water.

the chick with the white face and brown feathers is the sweetest, and hatched first. i don't see them peck the others as often, and whenever i hold them and pet them, they close their eyes.

the chick with spots around their face was the last to hatch, and is a bit skittish around me, but isn't terrified. they'll go up to peck at my hands and protests only a little when i pick them up.

they all are fine with being held if i have my hands under their feet, and if i keep them still and pet them. im really hoping i can keep them 'tame' enough for them to let me pet and pick them up when theyre older!

they're easter eggers, by the way, all 3- easter eggers are all we own lol
