6 eggs in one day from 4 hens?!

I am very confused! We have 4 leghorns, 2 BRbanties and a sussex. The banties have small brown eggs, the sussex large brown eggs and the leghorns...white. So how on earth did I get 6 white eggs today? I got 4 white eggs yesterday, so I know they weren't from yesterday.

Can leghorns really lay more than one egg a day?

About once a year that happens to me. It is possible, just not probable. The propabability that they had a couple hidden is more likely.
