6 hens only 1 is laying

Why dose only one of my 6 hens lay they are all 4 years old all fed the same .

They may simply be taking a break in their laying cycle or depending upon breed may have passed their reproductive lifespan.

4 is kinda old for a laying hen. Most breeds slow down quite a bit after a couple years... Unless they are death layers.
