6 laying boxes

I have 6 hens and they all have a laying box why is it that they all cram into 2 of them? Will they start laying in their own box? I haven't gotten any eggs just yet but it could be any day. I am afraid if they all cram into 2 boxes that will hinder their laying of eggs....help me out please not sure what to do.

That is completely normal. You probably actually only need 3 at the most.

They feel the safest laying eggs where someone else also lays eggs. Laying together in one nest is normal chicken behavior. Generally you only need 1 box per every 4 chickens. I have 5 chickens and 2 nests but they all lay in one.
