6 month old Buff

He's not laying or She's not crowing. One day I think it's a roo and the next I'm wondering different. What do you guys think?

Do you have a better picture? Showing the whole bird, including hackle feathers and the face. From what I can see of the saddle feathers I would lean towards pullet.

It is definitely a cockerel since it has pointed saddle feathers.

Those long, thin, pointed feathers on the back, near the base of the tail mean that this bird can only be male.
