Ive got two pullets that are between 6-7 month old, and we have still not got 1 single egg! Am i doing something wrong? fresh water every day, layers pellets provided all day, coop cleaned out once a week?

I'd wait till spring and see if they start then maybe it's the weather

It's winter, you'll have that. What are the average temps there? How many hours of daylight are they getting? Do they have a lamp or light?

My girls just started laying within the last 2 weeks and they are 8-9 months old. I got a Cinnamon Queen last April and she laid her first egg today (only brown layer I have). I think a lot of it has to do with the amount of light they get. They days are getting longer as Spring approaches and they are starting to pick up. I'm sure it wont be too much longer for you. I'm tickled pink, I got 4 eggs today. One is green, one is blue, one was white and one was brown. Good color combo.

What kind of chickens? On the up side, I know that some breeders manage the amount of feed their pullets receive so that they grow a touch slower and, in theory, the reproductive system is built slower and in a more healthy manner. They swear that this leads to fewer problems like pro-laps, or internal laying, etc..... So, perhaps this will pay off for you in the end.

I have a mix flock of 8. They range between 11 months to 5 months. The truth of the matter is that. I have only gotten 5 eggs since I started! (I got one today

) And I know my 2 youngest (the only 2 left from what I raised from chicks) are definitely NOT laying! My two oldest birds have layed. I think it has to do with the weather. I live in California.. you know the land of sunshine and no snow. Yet, they are not laying b/c I don't have winter lights. I think with spring coming, things will be easier. I know it is hard but be patient.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. Sometimes it just takes time. Who knows, in a couple months... you might have eggs coming out of your ears!!!
