6 now 7 poults

My bronze hen hatched out our first poults there where 6 , she left the nest so we took the eggs to the incubator and gave her 1 more so far. Anyone else try this? Seemed to work so far.

I had two hens sitting and one abandoned the nest at hatching time. I found one broke out of shell and brought it in the house. It was cold but is alive and well, weaker than the hatch from the second hen but alive. I have a broody chicken sitting on the abandoned eggs now, but I think it is a waste at this point. I did give my second hen two chicks from a feed store to add to the 8 poults she hatched out and she accepted them just fine. i went in this morning and they were all up under the hen warm as a bug in a rug. Kind of funny the first time the hen called them over, they were hatchery chicks and had probably never been under a hen before.
